The Rio 2016 Olympic champion and Kosovo judoka, Kelmendi was honored with another award.


At the International Judo Federation (IJF) Gala on Sunday evening Majlinda Kelmendi of Kosovo was awarded as The Best Female Judoka. Since 2012 she won three European title, two world titles and the Olympic title. Girl from Kosovo has been declared the best judo in the world by winning the prestigious "Best Female Judoka Today" award by the International Judo Association. Kelmendi expressed with tears in the eyes raising the hearts of all Albanians and sports fans all over the world. "Thank you for your support for me, for Kosovo and Kosovo Judah, you are the reason why Kosovo has been recognized by the IOC. Thank you for being able to represent my country at the Olympic Games last year and thanks to you we have one Thanks to the end of my heart. "I would like to thank the person who raised me, educated me and made me champion, my coach Driton Toni Kuka and his brothers who are patriots and have done a lot for our country. Thank you very much. "I won the Europeans, the worlds and the Olympics, but this award is my Everest mountain, I can not want more. All I can say is that God blessed judo." Honor to men in the International Judo Federation was for Teddy Riner. This title declared during the 69th Ordinary Congress of the European Judo Union, which was held with 47 countries being represented in Budapest.
