Scientists add that this is likely to be the hottest hearth ever seen. The Florida Department of Health announced that the number of cases confirmed by COVID-19 in the state increased by 2,610 between Tuesday and Wednesday as the virus spread and more people were tested across the country. In total, Florida has 82,719 infected, 80,676 of whom are Florida residents while 2,043 others are not from Florida but currently live there, according to the report.
