The most mysterious place in Albania !

It is one of the most mysterious places, one of the sites with the most concentrated energy on earth. The Tomorri mountain, described as the site of spiritual healing, the site where feelings are met! Homer at “Iliada” has written that the Pelasgian Dodona has stayed with her sons in Tomorri Mountain. Homer speaks for the site 8 centuries before Crist, by calling it Tomaros, but the myth is far more ancient. The toponym “Tomaros”, “Tamari”, “Tmari” appears in Strabon and Plin Secundi`s documents as a mountain near Dodona”. The legends speak of a temple in Tomorr, where people used to came and sleep outside to learn its secrets. Even today, people from all religions come and visit the place with no divisions. Sunnis from all over Albania go up the mountain every August 15th, coinciding with the time when the pelasgians used to light up fires in Tomorr. These pilgrims, Albanians and not only, go to Tomorr to respect the codes of their ancestors. To many pilgrims taking an oath for Baba Tomorr is even stronger than taking an oath on the holy books. According to the legend, all the people who are under the shadow of Tomorr Mountain will be saved. This Albanian mountain maybe has much more legends or myths than any other place in the world. But beyond the legends, even empiric observations still leave you in the boundaries of mystery and enigma. If Google earth is applied, 3 points are identified, 3 signs that Albanians call “the traces of good”. From Kulmak village in Tomorr to Kruja, there are 111 km and from Kulmaku in Artë, Ioannina, there is also another “trace” in the same distance of 111 kilometers. The three traces created this equilateral triangle of “God”. Albanians believe that the first sanctuary in the entire world was built in Tomorr Mountain. In 1930, the English ethnologist Margaret Hasluck, says that the pilgrims believed there was supernatural power exactly in the summit of Tomorri Mountain. The Albanian renaissance writer Çajupi put into literary the words: “The high mountain, throne to Good, people come to you to learn what you order”, whereas Herodoti highlights that God used to stay there in the old times. According to the geological studies, the oldest rocks of this mysterious mountain belong to the cretaceous era, 80-60 million years ago. The Mountain stands 2416 meters above sea level, and has a heritage rich in breech and oak trees as well as numerous healing plants. There are many water resources in Tomorr Mountain, around 1 hundred.
