The First Timepiece From This Albanian Watch Brand Is A Unique Masterpiece.
Who will be the lucky one to claim this symbol of Albanian artistic craftsmanship? Could it spark a new appreciation for cultural narratives in watchmaking? As I reflect on these questions, I’m reminded that some creations are meant not just to tell time but to tell a story – and “Primordial Passion” tells a compelling one indeed.
“An Albanian Brand Goes Into High-End Watchmaking” The dial of Primordial Passion, a one-of-a-kind watch by the Pirro brand in Albania, is dominated by 12 tiny gold folk dancers, each a third of an inch tall. They stand atop a red and black surface of 1,500 Murano glass mosaic pieces that were positioned, one by one, by the brand’s founder, Pirro Ruco, using a new technique he called “Pirro texture golden borders.”
