The application of 5 substitutions per team is approved in the Italian championship

Following the proposal of FIFA and the approval of IFAB, the Italian Football Federation has decided to allow the application of 5 substitutions for the team, in the remaining matches of the 2019-2020 season, which are expected to start on June 13. This rule will only apply to matches of the 2019-2020 season and then everything will be restored as before, with only 3 substitutions allowed, while the reason for the application of this innovation was also the fact that the players are expected to face one greater fatigue than usual. This is because the time to hold the remaining matches is short and the teams will have to go down to the field every three days, while to these is added the fact that it is expected to be played at very high temperatures.
