The 6th edition of Jazz in Albania bringing numerous surprises to the public. This edition continued its tourin the south-eastern city of Korca.


The International Festival “JAZZ in ALBANIA” continues its tradition of bringing world class entertainment to Tirana and other Albanian cities. With its goals of bringing in diverse talents from different nations the festival hopes to continue its reach and popularity to the Tirana community as well as to different cities of Albania. It’s also the intent of the festival to highlight, feature and share the stage with world and Albanian class artists. Following their performance in the capital Tirana, the participants to the current sixth edition of the Jazz in Albania international festival have moved to the other cities of the country, in Shkodra, Korça, and Pogradec, Vlora, and Fieri where the number of jazz music admirers is rapidly increasing. Artists from 11 different states have been invited to attend this edition of the festival. This edition of the Jazz in Albania international festival began in Tirana on Tuesday organized by the Cultural association “SYRI BLU”. The music-lovers have been the chance to admire the musical performances of musicians from Austria, Egypt, Greece, Netherlands, Italy, Israel, Poland, Serbia, Turkey, Switzerland and Albania. While its performance in Korça was held by support of the municipality of the south-eastern city. The sounds of the Austrian duo Rabitsch-Pawlik conveyed great emotions in the city's oldbazaar inflaming the atmosphere. The Austrian artist, Michaela Rabitsch, was deeply surprised by the Warm Welcoming reserved by the public in this city. "People here are very friendly. Iamglad that we had the chance to perform here. It's avery nice city with Suchabeautiful people," said the artist. After the performance, Korça Mayor Sotiraq Filo said that the festival has made the city far more attractive during the summer season. “It’s the first time that this festival of Jazz is brought in Korça. The event aims at combining the special jazz music with the tourist attractions in some of the Albanian cities”, said Filo. International Festival “Jazz in Albania” will continue until July 26 with concerts performed in some of the main cities of the country. The sixth edition of the International Jazz Music Festivalin in Tirana started on July 18-22 in the premises of Rogner Hotel in the capital, Tirana,when different jazz bands and artists came from 11 countries. This festival brought in Tirana and other citys musicians from different countries of the worldanda multitude of sounds, cultures and forms of interpretation
