Prague will have a square named Skanderbeg
In the Czech capital Prague there will be a "Skanderbeg" square. After Budapest, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj has also visited Prague, after the latest decision of the Municipal Council of this city to give one of the main squares the name of our national hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu.The news was announced by the mayor Veliaj himself after the meeting with the mayor of Prague Zdenek Hrib."It is always a pleasure to meet the mayor of Prague, my friend Zdenek Hrib. Like many capitals of the world, Prague will have a square named "Skanderbeg", in honor of our national hero! "Thanks to Zdenek and the Prague City Council for the initiative", writes Veliaj.Three months ago, the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj inaugurated in Budapest together with his counterpart, Gergely Karácsony, the bust of our hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu in the Central Park of the Hungarian capital. The bust, a gift from the Municipality of Tirana for the city of Budapest, was placed in front of the memorial of his contemporary, the hero of Hungary, Janos Huniadi.
