New Governance Rama 2 will be smaller. New Ministers of governance!


At the end of this month, Prime Minister Edi Rama will likely publish the list of people he is going to have in his new cabinet, the first in eight years in which the winning party does not need for an ally in the government. The new Government's structure is expected to be presented on Sunday during the National Assembly of the Socialist Party of Albania (PS), to discuss about the names in the new government of Prime Minister Edi Rama, after the victory of the June 25 elections. Sources from the PS seat told for press that, as anticipated by Rama himself, the new government will have a smaller number of ministries. Two ministries will merges in one. Sources from the Prime Minister's Office say that the Ministry of Agriculture will be merged with the Environment; The Ministry of Tourism with the Culture and Sports; The Ministry of Economy with the energy; The Urban Development with the Local Government. As September is coming, rumors within Rama’s office speaks for new Governance composed by new and old socialist figures. Fatmir Xhafaj is expected to be appointed as Interior Minister, while Damian Gjiknuri will continue to direct the Ministry of Energy. Lindita Nikolla may also return in government. However, in new cabinet Rama 2 is expected to have surprise names, a typical trend this for the Albanian p Prime Minister. There are discussions undergoing a Treasury Ministry and a Ministry of Youth and Women. Edi Rama’s new Government is expected to have an equal balance between men and women. The governing team will be ready only in early September. The structure of the new government will published after hearing session tour between the Socialist Party and the community in every administrative district. “Although, this will be a one party government, we will not govern alone, but in a big coalition with the common people of this country” Rama have said.
