New Albanian Government to Be Unveiled on Sunday

It is official. The new names of the Governance will be made public this Sunday. The Prime Minister Edi Rama clarified saying that everyone should be patient until Sunday, The new cabinet will be unveiled during a meeting of the National Assembly of the Socialist Party. So far, the names of Lindita Nikolla, Fatmir Xhafaj, Damian Gjiknuri or Olta Xhacka were part of the rumors that they will be part of the new Government "Rama 2". Also personalities as Erjon Brace, Pandeli Majko, Blendi Klosi or Taulant Balla will have political posts in the Parliament and within the party. In cabinet “Rama2” may also have some novelties within, such as the creation of the ministry of Woman and Youth or the Ministry of the Treasury. Both of these ministries have never existed before as individual portfolios and it remains to be seen how they will be conceived as far as their functions are concerned. Meanwhile, as far as the ministry for Treasury is concerned, there is not yet a clear idea how it will function as a ministry. What’s interesting is also the famous project of the new left wing government for the creation of a ministry (perhaps without portfolio) for the Region. In the plans of the new government, is the plan to reduce the number of ministries, by pretending as a result on a reduction of expenses for each of them. If we make a comparison, Rama I government had 21 ministries, one of which was without portfolio. Meanwhile, it is said that the new government will have only 14 ministries, 15 at most. On Rama II cabinet, Agriculture merges with Environment and Urban Development merges with Local Government. The latter seems to have been formed thanks to the priority that Rama’s government has given to the management of the territory and the urban development.
