Kanye West announces candidacy for US President

World-renowned rapper Kanye West has announced he will run for president in this year's US election, a clear head-to-head challenge with Donald Trump. Through a Twitter status, Kanye West wrote: "Now we have to keep America's promise by trusting in God. We need to unify our vision and build our future. I am running for President of the United States in the 2020 elections. " Perhaps, Kanye had announced this step of his through his new album titled "God's Country". Kanye West fans immediately reaffirmed his statement and so far this West status has made the rounds of the world. What stands out, however, is the immediate approval and support of Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO. Musk commented to the rapper: "You have my full support!" Although Kanye has previously backed Trump, he has distanced himself from the current president over Black Lives Matter protests against police brutality and racial injustice.
