We all can’t wait for those holidays especially in these hard times due to Covid. Thinking about holidays is like escaping from this tough reality, our mind is busy thinking where to go, where to stay, and most importantly what to do to have an unforgettable time with our loved ones.
Do you know that Albania can offer you a lot of beautiful places and outdoor activities for those who are passionate about adventurous sports? Albania has a lot of beautiful high mountains to hike, amazing beaches, and has some of the best rivers for rafting. If you are excited to try something new in the upcoming holidays read below the best rivers where you can do rafting…
Rafting in the wild Vjosa River, Permet
Vjosa river’s entire 270km course is wild and untamed and adorned with beautiful canyons, braided river sections, islands, and oxbows. Prepare yourself to have a memorable experience with waves up to four feet and narrow passages that send the boat shimmying and water gushing over the sides.
Rafting in Osumi River
The Osumi river gorge is one of the most spectacular natural attractions of Albania. During the spring, high water from melting snow makes it possible to explore the whole length of the gorge from the river. Spring is also the best time to view the many waterfalls in the gorges, which thunder from above as explorers pass below on boats. The rapids are Class II, so one does not need prior white water experience to navigate them. Interesting rock formations and waterfalls are found in some sections of the Canyon.
If you are brave enough and love adventurous sports come to Albania and try rafting in one of these 2 rivers and believe me you will have a memorable experience that you will never forget in your life.
