Coronavirus, Albania Registers Lowest Number of Infected Since Peak


Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Institute of Public Health, Silva Bino announced this Tuesday there are only 6 new coronavirus cases during last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 383. Bino informed also on the number of hospitalised patients, saying that 67 are receiving treatment at Infectious Diseases Ward, 5 out of whom in intensive therapy, and 7 others are receiving treatment at COVID 2 Hospital, 5 out of whom in intensive therapy. "In the last 24 hours, 182 suspected persons infected have been tested, 6 out of whom resulted positive. So far, 2753 suspected cases have been tested and 383 is the the total number of infected in Albania. 22 citizens have lost the battle with this disease so far, despite the extraordinary efforts of the health personnel. During last 24 hours, another 15 patients have been added to the list of recovered, bringing the number of those cured from COVID-19 to 131," said Bino.
