Normally we read articles or watch news about poverty in world. When it comes to USA we think that it is the most powerful country in the world and all people of all 50 states live in luxury, but the reality is different. In order to determine the poorest states, it is measured the household income levels for each state as well as the number of people who live in poverty in each state. Regarding the average income per resident per country, Americans are the sixth. In USA the average poverty rate for a state is 13%. 10. North Carolina The poverty rate in this state is 16% which is 3% higher than the national average. Folks bring about 50 thousand dollar annually. The unemployment rate isn’t so bad and the cost of living is so low here that low salary means that people can get by and remain out of poverty. 4.
